Loved this essay!

I've found that a long soak in the tub helps me alleviate the longing for the sea. Although, sometimes it feels a bit cramped due to the length of the tub itself and the (in my opinion) relatively shallow depth. I crave deep sea water which is a problem I've run into when snorkeling on tours; they never seem to take you to places that are deep enough for me!

I like the idea of the wet rag across the phantom gills. I'll have to try that the next time mine feel dry! Although I tend to drink a lot of water so mine aren't usually aggravated.

And while being near any type of water can help, nothing makes me feel more at home than by the sea itself. Luckily, that's only about a 3 hour car drive away and we go there at least twice a year with family. :)

I've found the sound of ocean waves helps to greatly alleviate the longing feeling too. It's also a great sound to have on in the background!

Regarding smell, I was fortunate to find two perfect salty aquatic scents from BPAL: Pool of Tears and the Deep Ones. Lovely and I can't get enough of them!

Who are the other two aquatics you know?

Thank you for sharing this, it was wonderful!
