I wonder if that's because you have canine vocal chords instead of human ones? Although that seems strange since your upper body is mostly human. Do you use your hands like a some humans do to communicate too?
Also, why adlet as the label rather than a dog therian who just tends to experience some phantom limbs more strongly over others?
