Important:
This journal is basically “Friends” only.
This has been done for personal reasons. People are welcome to subscribe and whatnot, however, a lot of what we talk about in our journal relates to our plurality, nonhumanity, queerness, paganism, and more. So some of the content might not be for everyone. This journal also occasionally talks about mature topics.
About Us:
We are a large mixed-origin nonhuman multiple system that goes by House of Chimeras.
We received a diagnosis of DDNOS from our 1st therapist in 2010. When the DSM-5 came out our 2nd therapist reassessed us & found we did not meet all criteria for DID or OSDD with the DSM-5 (though we once did). While every mental health professional we've seen since has acknowledged our plurality, we've never been rediagnosed.
Our multiplicity is caused by several factors. In brief: we believe were born already predisposed toward multiplicity due to neurodivergence, were born with more than one soul, had trauma that directly messed with our identity development, various negative childhood events pushed us to maladaptive daydreaming which lead to the creation of tulpas/thoughtforms, & an animistic predispositions leading to spirit possession.
Our system consists of a wide array of nonhumans. Most of us are nonhuman animals that exist or have existed on Earth. Others are animals of a more mythical or fictional sort. A few of us are also plants.
Our overall spiritual beliefs can best be described as pagan with an undercurrent of pantheism, hard polytheism, and animism among us. A major part of our spiritual practice is heavily inspired historical accounts of groups like the Benandanti. Our practice is heavily focused on local nature spirits and, to an extent, aiding the nonhuman dead.
We label our body a transgender-non-binary-genderfluid. We have also made several alterations to our body to appear more androgynous. Collectively our pronouns are they/them/their and individually our pronouns are she/her/hers for the female members in our system, he/him/his for the male members of our system, and either they/them/their (or hie/hem/hir, if needed for clarity) anyone not strictly male or female.
Our general hobbies include reading (both nonfiction and fiction), writing (essays and stories), arts related stuff (mostly drawing and crafting) participating in various outdoor activities (hiking, amateur-level caving, wild-life watching, and learning wilderness survival skills), and collecting (namely books and animal bones). We read or listen to, on average, 70 books every year.
