I'm quite late with my reply, since I only just found this story. It was very touching, and I can relate wholeheartedly to the experience of my particular kintype being ridiculed. I've always found it extremely childish that adults are willing to torture someone incessantly because of a particular identity. So many members of the otherkin and therian communities have the wrong idea about fictiokin, and many fictionkin are afraid to come out of the closet, so to speak. I'm proud to know that someone is willing to write a piece (even if just a story) that stands up for our beliefs. I cannot thank you enough!
